Crypto futures explained

Crypto Futures are derivatives that allow you to bet on rising or falling crypto prices — with Leverage. Unlike classic Futures with an expiration date, cryptoPerpetual-Futures are not limited in time and are linked to the spot market via the funding rate.

The Explanation

All the important aspects explained simply.

📈
Long & Short possible
Long = Wette auf steigende Kurse. Short = Wette auf fallende Kurse. Beide Richtungen sind technisch gleichermaßen möglich, ohne Leerverkauf-Einschränkungen.
⚡
Leverage
⏰
Funding rate
At fixed intervals (depending on the exchange, e.g. hourly or every 8 hours), traders on one side pay those on the other side — this keeps the futures price in line with the spot price. Funding is paid or received and as a rule does not offset price losses.
