Cloud costs on an ongoing basis

Anyone who runs your bot on their own servers has costs every month — and passes them on. If the software runs on your computer, this item does not apply on the provider's side — you operate the computer or VPS yourself.

Because nothing runs in someone else's cloud, your exchange API keys do not have to go anywhere either. They are stored locally in your configuration.

A subscription looks cheap as long as you only look at the monthly amount. Over the term, it looks different.

Compared with the 99 € example, the one-time purchase is cheaper from the 21st month onward, and compared with the 49 € example from the 41st month — after that, no further costs are incurred for FuturesBot. Are there really trading bots without a subscription?

Yes. Many well-known crypto bot services run in the cloud and bill monthly because the provider operates servers for you continuously. Software that runs on your own computer, by contrast, can be sold as a license — like FuturesBot.

What happens to my license after purchase?

It is unlimited in time; you do not need to keep track of a renewal. The software checks the license at startup and about every 12 hours online via www.futuresbot.de; after 7 days without a server connection (plus 12 hours of warning time), new entries are blocked (Terms and Conditions § 9). You receive security and functionality-maintenance updates for at least 24 months from purchase; we have so far provided further updates free of charge, there is no entitlement to new features.

Are there really no ongoing costs?

No follow-up costs arise for FuturesBot. You bear third-party costs yourself: the trading fees of your exchange (incurred with every bot), for the TV Edition a paid TradingView subscription for webhook alerts, optionally a Claude API key (only if you want to use the AI signal check) and a small VPS if the bot is not supposed to keep running on your own computer.

Do you take part in my profits?

No. There is no profit sharing and no success-based fee. The bot trades via your own API keys on your own exchange account — we do not see your trades and have no access to them.

Can I move the license to another computer?

The license is bound to one computer on first start. A change, for example to a new PC or a VPS, is handled via support (support@futuresbot.de).

What about future versions — will I have to buy again?

No, the license is perpetual. Security and function-maintenance updates at least 24 months from purchase; so far we provide further updates free of charge, but there is no entitlement to new functions. You can see the complete version history publicly on the Updates page.
